Marketing Assistant - B2B

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Marketing Assistant to join our growing team to support the development and implementation of our marketing strategy. You’ll work closely with the Marketing Manager as well as collaborating with our Sales and Development teams across all stages of the marketing process. Whilst primarily administrative, your insight will be welcomed to help develop, expand, and maintain our marketing channels.

The role is suited to someone with a good foundation in a marketing or comms role. You’ll gain a broad range of marketing skills and experience in business-to-business marketing strategies.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, as Marketing Assistant you’ll;

  • Provide operational support for marketing and sales
  • Create marketing and sales materials, specifically copywriting
  • Support the CRM database, HubSpot
  • Update website content using Liferay. A basic level of html and coding would be advantageous; however, training can be provided.
  • Data collection and reporting against team goals
  • Proof reading
  • Market & competitor research & analysis: generate interest & create sales opportunities by coordinating & managing email campaigns, events, social & workshops
  • Assist with events management (global)

As a Marketing Assistant you’ll need, along with a degree level education

  • Content creation experience, specifically written copy
  • Understanding of SEO and associated marketing principles in a B2B environment.
  • Familiarity with marketing software and online applications (e.g. CRM tools, Google Analytics, Google AdWords and Bing Ads), Asana, Drupal, and HubSpot
  • An interest in technology with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office platforms

Softer attributes will include effective communication, interpersonal and skills, the ability to liaise comfortably with clients, strong stakeholder management skills to work and engage with a range of clients and partners, a good team player with an enthusiastic, proactive and collaborative approach.

Hybrid working with the ability to travel to the Reading office for meetings. You’ll need to attend marketing events as required however, currently you will need to be able to work from home.
