SAP Programme Manager - Delivery, Pharmaceutical

Our client is an R&D driven, global pharmaceutical company, originating in Japan. With some market leading brands in Urology, Immunology and Transplantation, the company has a strong commitment to growth, a global category leader in several areas. Worldwide sales are €8.44bn and €1.75bn in Europe. With 21 European Affiliates, the head office is based in Middlesex. We need an experienced, motivated individual to take SAP and Business Systems through the project lifecycle.

Working in the Systems Delivery team as an SAP Programme Delivery Manager you will coordinate and monitor the SAP and Business Applications portfolio from blueprinting through implementation to maintenance and operations, meeting time, budget and quality standards. The role requires supporting a number of internal and external Project Managers each focussed on their own projects, across multiple locations in Europe. It includes monitoring expenditures and costs against budget, ensuring projects conform to the project management methodology and meet documentation and quality assurance requirements. It will necessitate managing the SAP Release Calendar, pursuing resolution of complex issues and improving of processes. You’ll participate in the project initiation phase for finalisation of the solutions design, to ensure effective base lining.

Graduate or business level qualified, you will need considerable experience of complex SAP programme delivery, design to implementation, in a pharmaceutical/validated environment. Knowledge of a project management methodology, preferably Prince 2 is required. Similarly, experience with vendors in a high value, outsourced environment with associated budgets, is essential. Technical knowledge must include a sound understanding of the SAP system structure, terminology and the processes around new releases. Softer skills will include a strong service and customer focus with an analytical approach to problem solving and process improvement. You will be able to assess priorities, work independently, communicate effectively, build consensus and influence various groups to ensure delivery.

European travel will be required. To apply, please submit your CV with latest package details and your reasons for applying in confidence or alternatively contact us on the number below.
