Service Delivery Manager, Infrastructure - Pharmaceutical
   

Our client is an R&D driven, global pharmaceutical company, originating in Japan. With some market leading brands in; Urology, Immunology and Inflammation especially Transplantation, the combined R&D capability is exploring other targeted areas of unmet medical need; diabetes, cancer, dermatology and new drugs for infectious diseases. The company has a strong commitment to growth, both directly and through its affiliates and partners, fast becoming a global category leader in several areas.

With worldwide sales of €8.23bn and sales in Europe of €1.2bn, the company has created an efficient, flexible and dynamic corporate organisation. In Europe, the company is already an industry leader in two therapeutic areas. The European head office is near Staines. The recently completed business transformation has seen the outsourcing of some elements of IT. We now need an experienced, motivated individual to manage the service delivery process for IT infrastructure in Europe.

Reporting to Director level, you will be responsible for infrastructure related service support, instrumental in ensuring the delivery of services to agreed levels from the outsourcers and service providers across the European business groups. Managing the service delivery relationship, you will act as the escalation point for incident, change and problem management and service failures. As well as responsibility for release and configuration management and ad hoc projects you’ll have sufficient technical experience to trouble shoot and propose a solution with knowledge of processes to drive best practice.

A graduate or business level, ITIL qualified, you will need sound experience of service delivery, managing customer critical situations, gained from a large scale, European, outsourced environment. Technical knowledge will include a sound understanding of server and client hardware running Microsoft technologies (email), UNIX, with an Oracle/DB, as well as network protocols and administration (printing and firewalls). Solid experience of managing change orders, incident handling and problem resolution are a must. You’ll be service minded, diplomatic, able to engage across the European cultures, communicating effectively, creating confidence and influencing outcomes.
